Treasure Shot: Pirate Ship / Robin Hood Advantage Play Strategy

Manufacturer: Scientific Games / Light & Wonder

How the advantage works

Treasure Shot features wilds that accumulate on the treasure chests and bags above the reels. The wilds in the blue and red bags can trigger randomly during the base game and are guaranteed to hit on the next spin once ten are collected in a bag. The blue, green and purple treasure chest wilds are awarded during a ten free games feature. The free games feature can be triggered randomly, but it is guaranteed to hit by the MHB number, which is 100 for blue and 75 for both green and purple.

Additional notes on Treasure Shot

  • Landing a blue, green or purple treasure chest in the fifth reel will increment the corresponding MHB meter. The chests usually only land one at a time but can occasionally land in stacks (the most I have seen is three at once).

  • I recommend pulling your card whenever any of the treasure chests are one away from triggering the MHB if you are trying to show a loss.

  • The bag wilds accumulate quickly and thus are awarded quickly. They can appear in any of the five reels, sometimes collecting up to five at once. Once ten are collected in a bag, that bag is guaranteed to trigger on the next spin. Both bags can be triggered at the same time—reds are placed first and then blues.

  • The blue bag and green chest wilds can randomly contain credit prizes that range from $0.10 to $20 on the $0.75 bet level (and then scale up proportionately on the larger bet sizes).

  • The red bag and purple chest wilds can randomly contain 2x, 3x or 5x multipliers. The multipliers are additive rather than multiplicative, so a 3x and a 5x would equal 8x, rather than 15x.

  • The multiplier wilds are volatile because they need to be part of a line hit to activate. The credit prizes are awarded regardless of where they land, so they are much less volatile.

Both the green and purple chests must hit by 75, so this is an excellent play.
