Pillars of Cash features a pillar above each reel that contains a credit prize. When a coin symbol lands on a reel, the prize value on the coin gets added to the prize value on the pillar and the pillar may increase in height. Each pillar has a counter with three green dots that represent how many spins remain at that pillar height. Landing a coin symbol will reset the spin counter to three. If there are no lit up green dots remaining and a coin symbol does not land on that spin, the pillar will drop back down one level. If the pillar reaches the bottom, the prize value on the pillar gets reset. If a pillar reaches the top position (four high in reels one and five, five high in reels two and four, and six high in the middle reel), the dragon behind the pillar turns gold. If a coin lands on a reel with a gold dragon, the prize on that pillar has a chance of being awarded.

The pillars above reels one and five contain the smallest prizes and are relatively easy to hit. Reels two and four contain larger prizes and are much more difficult to hit. The middle reel contains the largest prize and is extremely difficult to hit.
Pillars that are on fire were just awarded on the previous spin and will drop back down to the reset level on the next spin.
You can tap the bet level on the main touchscreen to check the machine without having to bet (or even put money in).
