Temple Falls features a 5x7 grid of coins above the reels that can be awarded during a coin collect feature. During the coin collect feature, a coin on the bottom row can randomly drop down and get awarded. The coins in the stack above the coin that got awarded shift down one level, with a new coin replacing it at the top. The coins range in size from 0.625x up to 200x. Coins worth at least 12.5x have a red background. There are also wheel coins that award a spin of the jackpot wheel. It can take multiple coin collect features to win a coin, but all coins on the grid will eventually be awarded.

This is a high variance game due to the fact that there are two bonus features (symbol upgrade and coin collect). A huge chunk of the game’s return is in the symbol upgrade feature (which there is no advantage to). Without hitting that feature, the base game return is terrible. Therefore, your return when chasing the coin collect feature is extremely dependent on randomly hitting the symbol upgrade feature during the chase. You should expect big losses on sessions where you don’t trigger the symbol upgrade feature and big wins when you do. Over enough sessions, things will even out, but you should expect large swings in the short term.
The coin collect feature is triggered by landing three or more waterfall symbols. Landing three waterfall symbols will start the feature with 10 spins, landing four waterfall symbols will start the feature with 15 spins and landing five waterfall symbols will start the feature with 20 spins.
During the wheel spin, you can win the mini, minor, major or grand jackpots. The mini is worth 25 units and the minor is worth 50 units. The major and grand vary by denomination.
The coins that pile up around the bowls do not mean anything. The game rules state, “changes to the images above the reels have no effect on triggering Free Spins.”

When you adjust an input on the Temple Falls calculator, it runs 20,000 simulations of the coins dropping down in random positions (based on a model of the game) and then averages out the results. It also auto-populates the grid with the lowest value coin (based on bet size) to save you from having to input all 35 coin values. With the calculator you will be able to find less obvious plays that other APs are passing over.
A huge chunk of the game’s return comes from the symbol upgrade feature. The feature is high variance but can pay extremely well. This was a 429x payout.
